Qubic QS-HVS62 and QS-GC3: haptics and price ahead of the Expo

QS-HVS62 offers eight haptic channels for €695 before tax. The QS-GC3 prototype moves a bucket seat cushion. Here is how they work and where to try them in Frankfurt.

Two haptic approaches at SimRacing Expo 2026

Qubic System will use SimRacing Expo Frankfurt, running from 16 to 18 October 2026, to show two different ways of adding feedback to a rig. QS-HVS62 distributes vibration across the seat, frame and pedals, while QS-GC3 acts on the bucket seat cushion. The official announcement dated 13 October places both devices ahead of their commercial launch.

That distinction matters when planning a purchase. Visitors can inspect and try the hardware at the show, but Qubic has not published a sales date for either product. QS-GC3 is also explicitly identified as a prototype.

QS-HVS62: six rig channels and two pedal channels

QS-HVS62 combines eight channels in one unit: six high-power channels for tactile transducers on the seat or frame, plus two low-power channels for pedals. Qubic proposes distributing effects around the installation so that vibration can be felt in a specific area.

The manufacturer gives kerbs, engine vibration, ABS at the brake and traction control at the throttle as examples. Pedal haptic units may need adapters and do not fit every pedal. Checking that mounting arrangement before calculating the total system cost is therefore worthwhile.

PC connection and QS-HVS62 power supply

The PC connection uses USB-C and Qubic Manager for Windows. According to the product page, effects are generated inside the device rather than through a sound card and a chain of external amplifiers. Qubic lists an effect frequency range of 2 to 150 Hz.

An included 46 V, 480 W power supply serves all eight outputs. This shared supply matters when reading the maximum figure for an individual output: it does not mean that maximum is simultaneously available on every channel. The installation still needs separately purchased transducers and mounting brackets.

QS-GC3: movement beneath the bucket seat cushion

QS-GC3 uses two hinged plates beneath the cushion. An actuator below the seat moves the upper plate through the lower harness slot. Qubic describes the aim as changing the support felt by the driver during braking and acceleration without moving the entire cockpit.

The provisional specification lists approximately ±3.5° of tilt, together with engine vibration and other haptic effects. These are prototype figures subject to confirmation, and the effects available depend on the telemetry supplied by each game.

What fitting QS-GC3 requires

The bucket seat must have a lower harness slot for the crotch strap and a removable cushion. Qubic says it offers no adapter for seats without that opening: the actuator needs it to transfer movement to the plate. The harness crotch strap attaches to the QS-GC3 plate.

The mechanism raises the seating position by 2 to 3 cm and needs clearance beneath the seat for the actuator. Before choosing it, check the seat height relative to the wheel and pedals as well as the space above the seat rails and cockpit frame.

Announced price and Frankfurt demonstrations

Qubic lists QS-HVS62 at €695 before tax and duty. Transducers, pedal haptic units and brackets are excluded, so this is not the cost of a complete installed system. QS-GC3 still has no announced price, and its seat is not included either.

During the Expo, QS-HVS62 will be available to try exclusively at SimUltimate. QS-GC3 will be at SimUltimate, Simufy and SimRacing Shop. The demonstrations provide an opportunity to assess how the two approaches feel while commercial availability and final specifications remain to be confirmed.

QS-BT3: a belt-tensioner preview that will not be at the Expo

Qubic also previews QS-BT3, a harness tensioner that uses game telemetry to pull both shoulder straps. A single direct-drive motor moves the shared belt without a gearbox. The manufacturer quotes 200+ N for one channel: that pull is shared by both shoulders, rather than providing 200 N independently to each side.

The unit is intended to mount behind the seat and connect to a PC over USB. Effects associated with one side are felt on both shoulders, rather than controlling left and right separately. Before planning an installation, wait for the final dimensions and requirements for your own harness. Qubic notes that effects depend on the telemetry supplied by each game.

  • Announced price: €795 before taxes and duty; the harness is not included.
  • This is a preview before launch. Qubic explicitly says QS-BT3 will not be at SimRacing Expo and provides no sale date.
  • Dimensions, weight and power requirements remain unpublished. Final force figures and effects also remain subject to confirmation.
