An active pedal driven by a servomotor

The ActivePedal Sport uses a servomotor to control pedal resistance. Its role can be configured as a brake, throttle or clutch, rather than being fixed to one function. Simucube specifies a maximum force of 100 kg and 60 mm of travel; these describe the pedal's limits, not a recommendation to drive at maximum force.

Simucube Tuner adjusts the response curve, force, travel, preload, friction and damping. The practical benefit is the ability to change the pedal's behaviour in software instead of rebuilding a mechanical spring stack for each configuration. The useful setting still depends on your seating position, preferred braking technique and the car you drive.

Effects depend on the game and its telemetry

The announced effects include engine vibration, ABS, traction control, G forces, braking threshold, clutch bite point and wheel lock. This list is not a promise that every title supplies every signal. Check the game's telemetry support and the corresponding Tuner configuration before planning around a particular effect.

It is also worth separating the pedal's resistance curve from those effects. A force setting defines how the pedal responds to your foot; telemetry effects add information while driving. Keeping that distinction clear makes comparisons with conventional pedals and separate haptic accessories more useful.

Plan the connection and mounting before buying

A Simucube Link Hub is required and is not included with the individual Sport pedal. The product does not support daisy chaining, and Simucube describes expansion with two passive pedals. That does not establish universal compatibility with any passive pedal: verify the exact components and connection method.

The individual box includes the pedal, a 280 W power supply, two power cables, an RJ45 cable, a tool and mounting hardware. Four M5 slots provide the mounting points. The pedal face has 20 mm of height adjustment and 18° of angle adjustment. Compare these positions and the 100 × 250 × 250 mm envelope with your pedal plate, including room for the cables.

Where Sport sits alongside ActivePedal Pro

The official configurator lists 110 kg maximum force and 74 mm travel for ActivePedal Pro, compared with Sport's 100 kg and 60 mm. Both list a three-year warranty. Those figures distinguish the models, but they do not tell us whether every driver will feel a meaningful benefit from the additional force or travel.

Sport's compact dimensions may matter more than peak force in a tight cockpit. Treat that as a mounting consideration, not a guarantee that it will fit every rig. The Pro product linked below is a different model already represented in our catalogue.

Timing, prices and the next checks

Simucube currently plans availability for early 2027; a precise release day has not been confirmed. A free, non-binding registration offers access to purchase 24 hours before the public sale. Registration is not a reservation, a paid preorder or a statement that the pedal is available now.

  • Compare the individual pedal with the Sport, Co-Pedal and Link Hub bundle on the same regional store.
  • Check tax, delivery and the complete connection cost before treating an advertised amount as a final budget.
  • Confirm mounting and the effects supported by your game; revisit the official information when the launch date is announced.
