Fanatec confirms the Podium Pedals Sport launch

Fanatec’s European store lists Podium Pedals Sport as unavailable when checked on October 17, 2026: the product page says Currently Unavailable and Out of stock instead of offering Add to cart. The displayed price remains €599.95. This changes the purchasing status observed on October 16, when sales opened on the first day of SimRacing Expo Frankfurt.

The package combines a throttle and brake with GT-style aluminum pedal plates at an announced European price of €599.95. Fanatec presents it as the most affordable entry into the Podium Pedals family. This is one configuration within that range: it does not mark the simultaneous launch of every variant or confirm immediate dispatch.

Two GT pedals for left-foot or right-foot braking

Sport omits the clutch and the carbon components of the Formula configuration. Its aluminum pedal faces have a GT design that Fanatec promotes for both left-foot and right-foot braking. This choice is relevant to drivers who use two pedals and prefer this form of support to single-seater-style pedal plates and heel cups.

The Sport-specific page lists two pedal modules, a connection box, RJ12 and USB cables, four brake elastomers, four brake springs, three Allen keys and two cup assist tools. It includes two M3 bolts and eight sets of M6 bolts, washers and flange nuts. The mounting plate and heel rest are separate purchases; the compatible clutch module is also optional and listed as coming soon.

Brake: 150 kg at the pedal plate and a sensor rated above 200 kg

Fanatec specifies a forged aluminum pedal arm and intermediate arm, supported by industrial-grade ball bearings. The brake is calibrated for 150 kg at the pedal plate and uses a custom load-cell sensor rated above 200 kg. These figures refer to different points in the mechanism; they do not mean that your foot has to apply more than 200 kg.

The load cell records braking effort. A useful setting will depend on the force you can repeat, your driving position and the rigidity of the pedal installation and seat. The manufacturer's figures describe the equipment; they are not independent measurements and do not require maximum effort on every braking input.

Elastomers, springs and tool-free adjustments

The brake incorporates Fanatec's patented elastomer compression-control system. The brand specifies tool-free travel and resistance adjustments and supplies alternative linear springs for a softer setup. This allows different pedal feels rather than restricting the set to a single factory stiffness.

It is useful to distinguish mechanical adjustment from electronic calibration: the former determines how the pedal moves and resists movement; the latter defines how its signal translates into the game. The information reviewed does not give a numerical brake travel range for Sport, so we do not assign it figures taken from another variant.

Throttle with a Hall sensor and independent preload adjustment

The throttle combines diecast and CNC-machined aluminum, a custom Hall sensor calibrated at the factory and industrial-grade ball bearings. Its travel and preload can be adjusted independently and without tools, according to the official Sport section. The new page specifies approximately 20 mm of throttle travel adjustment.

Adjusting these settings separately allows the pedal position and initial resistance to suit the driver's posture. Sensor resolution, total weight and complete dimensions have not been confirmed for this package. They are not needed to identify the product, but the mounting measurements will need to be checked before installation in a particular cockpit.

Fanatec App: curves stored in the pedals themselves

The Fanatec App allows response curves and dead zones to be modified. The Sport section states that these settings are saved to the pedals' internal memory and that custom curves also work on consoles. The Tuning Menu lets users choose between presets and custom configuration slots.

This provides a separate adjustment layer from the mechanical setup: a curve changes the relationship between pedal input and the signal received by the simulator. Its effect depends on the selected profile and game settings; it does not replace a suitable driving position or guarantee faster lap times by itself.

PC, PlayStation and Xbox: compatibility depends on the equipment

The Sport page confirms direct USB connection to a Windows PC or RJ12 connection to a supported Fanatec base. It lists CSL DD, Gran Turismo DD Pro, ClubSport DD and DD+, Podium DD1, DD1 PS4, DD2 and Podium DD (2026). That list does not imply support for every wheelbase.

PlayStation 4 and 5 require a supported PlayStation-licensed Fanatec base. Xbox One and Series X|S require a supported base and an Xbox-licensed steering wheel. Fanatec notes that full functionality depends on developer support; PC USB support does not imply direct USB connection to a console.

The mounting platform and heel rest are optional

Fanatec sells the Podium Pedals Mounting Plate and Heel Rest separately and explicitly lists Sport among the compatible models. Its European product page shows €199.95. The extruded aluminum plate uses T-nuts to adjust spacing, while the 4 mm steel heel rest can be adjusted for height, distance and angle or removed entirely.

This is a relevant accessory when calculating installation costs: the announced €599.95 covers the Sport pedals, rather than the complete installation shown in the photographs. The optional platform uses the Fanatec pedal mounting pattern; fit and available space need to be checked on the cockpit's pedal tray.

Sport, Formula and three pedals: the confirmed differences

The official page separates three configurations. Sport retains the essential throttle and brake feature list of the Podium family while changing the presentation and package contents. The €100 difference compared with Formula comes from the announced European prices of the two configurations.

  • Podium Pedals Sport: throttle and brake, aluminum GT pedal plates and an announced price of €599.95; sales announced for October 16.
  • Podium Pedals Formula: two pedals, Formula-style carbon-fiber pedal plates and heel cups, and a listed price of €699.95. Its availability needs to be checked separately.
  • Three-pedal Podium Pedals: includes a clutch and aluminum GT pedal plates, with €699.95 listed and shipping planned for the fourth quarter of 2026 on the current page. This should not be confused with the Sport launch on October 16.

European price and delivery conditions

The European page shows €599.95. The earlier announcement also quoted US$599.99 for the United States: separate regional prices, without conversion. The visible text checked does not expressly clarify VAT treatment; destination taxes, shipping and the final total should be checked before payment.

Both the product page and European pedals category now show the item as unavailable. The checked documentation gives no restocking date, so the earlier dispatch estimate cannot support a promise of current shipping. This status applies to the European store checked and does not establish stock in other regions.
