VPG Porsche GT3 R Evo: licensed carbon wheel with 128 inputs
VPG details its Porsche GT3 R Evo: 309 mm, 137 RGB LEDs, racing controls and USB connectivity. The official page lists GBP1,299 excluding VAT.
Official product details available; dispatch date unconfirmed

Porsche licensing and the Frankfurt context
VPG details the Porsche GT3 R Evo on its official product page: a Porsche-licensed sim racing wheel developed in collaboration with Porsche Motorsport. The manufacturer links it to the racing 911 GT3 R Evo wheel, identified in the specifications as 992.2.
The company is attending SimRacing Expo Frankfurt, with its day-one post placing its stand at EF13–14. In that context, the product page provides materials, controls, connections and pricing. It does not establish when the model was first unveiled or provide a delivery schedule.
Race-car carbon structure and 309 mm diameter
According to VPG, the carbon-fibre structure comes from the real race-car wheel and retains its control layout. The grips use overmoulded rubber, while button guards and knobs incorporate aluminium. These are manufacturer claims that still need an independent hands-on assessment.
The specification lists a 309 mm diameter and 1,150 g weight. It does not define which mounting accessories are included in that measurement, so it should not be described as a weight explicitly measured without a quick release.

128 mappable inputs and named components
VPG advertises 128 mappable inputs. The physical controls include twelve APEM buttons with a stated 650 gf actuation force and two rear Otto P9 buttons. The input total describes the system’s mapping possibilities.
There are also two twelve-position Elma thumb rotaries used as encoders and four front push rotaries that can also operate as encoders. Functions can be customised using the software tools named by the manufacturer.
137 RGB LEDs and customisation
The manufacturer specifies 137 individually controlled RGB LEDs and SimHub compatibility for lighting customisation. Illuminated rings around the rotaries are part of the visual presentation of the controls.
VPG also describes “magic button” functions assigned to specific rotary positions through its firmware and VPG Sim Suite. TrackThirtyTwo is listed for button customisation. The practical use depends on the assignments configured by the driver.
Two shifters and two upper paddles
The technical list includes two magnetic paddle shifters and two magnetic top paddles. VPG says it uses the same shifting mechanism as the race car. The checked documentation does not identify the upper paddles as clutches; their function needs confirmation before planning a dual-clutch setup.

USB for PC and mounting options
A rear four-pin connector provides USB-A or USB-C integration. For PC use, the page names SimHub, VPG Console and the customisation tools described above. VPG Console is software; these sources do not confirm PlayStation or Xbox compatibility.
The general specification mentions 50.8 and 70 mm PCD mounting compatibility, while the selector distinguishes “None (50.8mm PCD only)” from the optional VPG Spacer. Buyers need to select the adapter and check the intended wheelbase connection; the page does not establish that a universal quick release is included.
GBP1,299 excluding VAT; further terms pending
The official page displays GBP1,299 excluding VAT for the wheel, with an additional GBP49.99 for the VPG Spacer. These are published sterling amounts, without conversion to euros or a claim that they form a tax-and-shipping-inclusive total for Spain.
The checked documentation does not give a dispatch date or confirm immediate stock. EU buyers still need to verify the applicable total, shipping costs and lead times. We will update this article when VPG publishes those terms.
