Fanatec expands its Frankfurt roadmap

Fanatec has detailed its forthcoming projects and products on the opening day of SimRacing Expo Frankfurt 2026. Its official website recap adds ClubSport Pedals V4 and ClubSport Formula Cockpit to the two wheels already introduced on X, Project Obsidian and ClubSport Formula V3 Oracle Red Bull Racing. It also clarifies the intended timetable and each announcement’s place within the brand’s range.

The nearest milestone is Red Bull’s Formula V3: the manufacturer expects availability from mid-November 2026 and will put it into regular production. Obsidian, the V4 pedals and Formula Cockpit remain in development or preparation for sale, targeting 2027. These are different stages: showing hardware at an exhibition does not establish that it is already purchasable.

Project Obsidian: display and lighting beneath one glass panel

Project Obsidian is a prototype with a 5-inch colour LCD described by Fanatec as high resolution. The display shares a single glass covering with the RevLEDs and illuminated rotary switches. The recap also lists RGB-backlit buttons and an all-aluminium structure; the original X announcement specifies 18 programmable buttons.

Fanatec says it is showing the wheel earlier in development than usual to gather community feedback. Launch is planned for 2027. The consulted documentation does not publish the pixel resolution or identify the screen as touch-sensitive, so those details are outside this article’s confirmed specifications.

SimHub, USB, Wi-Fi and console-game telemetry

The official recap explains the connectivity further: Obsidian is designed with SimHub and consoles in mind and supports detailed telemetry through USB or Wi-Fi. Fanatec specifically mentions UDP telemetry to broaden compatibility with console games. This concerns telemetry reception for a product that is still being developed.

The text does not name specific consoles, games, compatible bases or per-function requirements. It also does not establish that power, buttons and display all operate wirelessly. Buyers planning to integrate Obsidian into a rig still need those combinations and setup instructions. Mentioning UDP does not replace a compatibility list for the finished product.

Formula V3 Oracle Red Bull Racing: availability from mid-November

ClubSport Formula V3 Oracle Red Bull Racing draws on the RB22 and the team’s 22-year heritage. Its design incorporates the racing car’s jacquard pattern and a forged-carbon finish. The new official information also confirms a preinstalled Podium Advanced Paddle Module with matching forged-carbon paddles. The CORSAIR press release specifies a 2.7-inch white OLED display and revised ergonomics and controls. The finish description does not establish an entirely carbon wheel structure.

Fanatec distinguishes this version from the limited 2024 Oracle Red Bull Racing edition based on Formula V2.5. The new Formula V3 will enter regular production in response to demand, with availability expected from mid-November. No price or exact delivery date is given, and the announcement does not automatically transfer every other Formula V3 specification to this edition.

ClubSport Formula Cockpit: from championship to home use

ClubSport Formula Cockpit is being prepared for public sale after use at Formula 1 events and in the F1 Sim Racing World Championship. Fanatec says the revised design improves adjustability and compatibility for home users. An Oracle Red Bull Racing version is on display in Frankfurt.

Public availability is planned for 2027. The recap gives no dimensions, adjustment ranges, price or list of supported equipment. It does not define a package including a seat, wheel, base or pedals. The confirmed development is adapting the Formula cockpit concept to private buyers, with configuration details still to follow.

ClubSport Pedals V4: a redesign for the middle of the range

ClubSport Pedals V4 is an early look at the next pedal generation. Fanatec describes it as the first ground-up redesign since the original model in 2008. It builds on the new Podium Pedals platform and shares many of its design principles and mechanical adjustment capabilities.

The manufacturer places V4 in the middle of its range, targeting a more accessible price category than Podium and a 2027 launch. This recap gives no amount, pedal-plate force or final sensor and adjustment specifications. More information is promised over the coming months; those numbers require product-specific documentation.

Three-pedal Podium set and GT Cockpit accessories

The recap also marks Podium Pedals Sport’s October 16 launch as a two-pedal set with aluminium GT-style plates. For the Podium range, Fanatec now expects the complete three-pedal set towards the end of 2026. That estimate refers to the set and does not by itself establish a sales date for a standalone clutch module.

D-BOX-approved mounting brackets and livery panels for ClubSport GT Cockpit are also being shown. The CORSAIR press release says the brackets for D-BOX G5 haptic actuators are planned for release before the holiday season 2026. It gives no exact day or prices, and no date for the panels. The linked Sport article covers the characteristics and package contents already confirmed by its European product page.

Availability and purchase conditions

The announced dates are manufacturer estimates. Further documentation must establish regional prices, taxes and ordering terms. Base, platform and accessory selection will depend on each product’s final compatibility lists. For now, the published timetable helps readers plan their wait without treating orders as open or fixing a delivery date.
