SIMRIG SBM: active harness feedback and a second batch
SIMRIG SBM now lists a second preorder batch with shipping planned from 16 December: two independent channels, 150 mm travel and up to 30 kg peak pull per side.
Batch 2 preorder; shipping planned from 16 December 2026

A second batch during Expo weekend
The official SIMRIG Belt Module page, abbreviated SBM, now offers Batch 2 preorders with shipping planned from 16 December 2026. Our previous check showed Batch 1 shipping from 16 November. This is a change to the batch being offered, rather than a guaranteed delivery date for every order.
The system was announced on 1 October, with initial access for SIMRIG system owners and public ordering opening on 8 October. On 9 October, the manufacturer invited visitors to try the SR3 + SBM combination at SimRacing Expo Frankfurt on 16–18 October, in Hall 12.0, stand D10.
Two channels and up to 30 kg peak pull per side
SBM applies force to the harness shoulder straps using vehicle telemetry. Two channels control the left and right sides independently: they can tighten together under braking or react differently to corners, curbs and other asymmetric effects, according to SIMRIG.
The manufacturer specifies up to 30 kg peak pull per side and 150 mm of linear travel. This is an advertised maximum for each side, rather than a continuous force measured by SimSales. The actuators pull directly on the straps instead of winding them around a spool.

Mounting and harness geometry
Adjustable upper rollers guide the straps through the seat and direct the pull rearwards. The page lists a 57–85 cm height range and 80 mm wide rollers. Their position must suit the seat and the driver's shoulders; the manufacturer stresses that the seat itself must fit correctly too.
The module mounts on top of an aluminium cockpit's rear profile or in one of its side slots. It accepts hook or loop strap ends and can work independently, without buying a SIMRIG motion platform.

Control Center on Windows and game-specific support
SBM connects through USB-C and includes SIMRIG Control Center software. It allows base and peak tension calibration plus profile and effect adjustments. When combined with a SIMRIG motion system, both use the same software and telemetry; they deliver two distinct kinds of physical feedback.
Control Center requires 64-bit Windows 10 or 11. SIMRIG documents more than 60 supported games, including iRacing, Assetto Corsa EVO, Le Mans Ultimate and RaceRoom on PC. Support varies by title: certain console games require an external Windows PC on the same network, rather than a direct SBM USB connection to any console.
Harness, power supply and emergency stop included
The package includes a black two-inch five-point harness, a 120 W supply rated for 100–240 V and 50–60 Hz, emergency stop, emergency-stop link cable, power cable, three-metre USB cable, mounting hardware and installation tools.
The link allows a shared emergency stop with SIMRIG motion systems; the manufacturer says this cable is not compatible with other brands' products. The published 12 kg and 79 × 59 × 22 cm describe the package, rather than the installed module's weight and dimensions.
Announced pricing and the current batch
The original announcement sets the price at EUR 1,650 excluding VAT. In the current Swedish view, the product page displays EUR 2,062.50 including 25% Swedish VAT. The store's regional selector says the country changes currency, tax and shipping options, so this figure must not be treated as a confirmed total for Spain.
SIMRIG also offers the SR3 + SBM bundle, announced on 9 October at EUR 4,280 excluding VAT. This is a separate purchase from the standalone SBM and adds the SR3 motion platform. The current bundle listing also shows Batch 2 shipping from 16 December.
The current status is preorder. The date from which SIMRIG plans to dispatch that batch does not guarantee arrival at a customer's home on a particular day; check the country, taxes and order schedule before paying.
