PXN FC 285 and FS 290: expected in the first quarter of 2027
PXN announces the FC 285 and FS 290 Formula wheels for early 2027. A look at their 4.3-inch touchscreens, SimHub support and differences between the two models.
Expected in the first quarter of 2027, with no specific date announced

PXN sets an expected arrival window: January to March 2027
PXN has announced that its FC 285 Formula Wheel and FS 290 Formula Wheel are expected in the first quarter of 2027. The official post of 15 October uses Q1 2027 for both models and links them to the brand's presence at SimRacing Expo Frankfurt.
The news is this expected arrival window, spanning January to March 2027. The message does not give a specific date, announce reservations opening or set a dispatch date. Their display at the show from 16 to 18 October offers a look at the designs ahead of the announced commercial window.
FC 285: carbon fibre, CNC quick release and adjustable Hall sensor paddles
The official FC 285 poster identifies a carbon fibre front plate and rear cover. PXN also announces a CNC-machined quick release module with an anodised finish, plus an adjustable paddle system with Hall effect sensors.
The touchscreen and SimHub integration are among the features shared with the FS 290. The announcement does not list compatible wheelbases for the mounting module or provide a total weight for the FC 285.

FS 290: CNC aluminium, an announced weight of 1600 g and 80+ inputs
For the FS 290, PXN highlights CNC-machined aluminium construction and an announced weight of 1600 g. The poster does not clarify whether that measurement includes the quick release or an adapter, so keep that qualification in mind when comparing weights with other wheels.
The brand specifies 80+ programmable inputs. This refers to control inputs and should not be read as a count of physical buttons: the poster does not provide a complete breakdown of how they are counted. The layout combines controls around the screen, thumb controls and rotary controls, as shown in the official image.

4.3-inch touchscreens and SimHub compatibility
Both posters announce a 4.3-inch touchscreen, SimHub compatibility and a customisable LED layout in groups of 3, 15 and 3. These are features shared by the two designs, although their control layouts and materials differ.
The announced SimHub integration still needs a guide detailing the functions and configuration of each model. Completing a setup will also require confirmation of the appropriate mounting and data connection.
What changes from the gamescom previews
PXN had already shown Formula wheel designs in its gamescom communications in August, under the names W FC and W FS. Its Frankfurt announcement of 13 October still uses those names. The new post uses FC 285 and FS 290 and adds the first-quarter 2027 timeframe.
S Series also targets the first quarter of 2027
In the October 16 post marked Official PXN in the brand’s community, its representative also places S Series wheelbases in the first quarter of 2027 and describes constant-torque options of 16 and 23 Nm. The same post reiterates that window for FC 285 and FS 290. These are launch targets, not open orders or confirmation of European prices, stock or delivery.
Where to see them at SimRacing Expo Frankfurt
PXN invites visitors to see the FC 285 and FS 290 at SimRacing Expo Frankfurt from 16 to 18 October 2026. Its official communication places the brand at booth EF1 in Hall 12 of Messe Frankfurt. Visitor opening hours are 10:00 to 18:00 each day, matching the time in mainland Spain.
The brand announces that the models will be exhibited, without specifying a driving session with each one. Their presence at the booth does not bring forward the 2027 commercial window.
Price, platforms and purchase terms remain unconfirmed
The announcement does not include retail prices in euros, dollars or pounds, VAT treatment, final box contents or a complete list of compatible platforms and wheelbases. Nor does it confirm reservations, European stock or a delivery date for Spain.
We will update this article when PXN specifies those terms or changes the expected arrival in the first quarter of 2027.
